The SK Process
and yes, there's usually coffee involved.
1. We'll Talk (the discussion is free!)
We want to get to know you personally.
We don't know why you're doing what you're doing.
We have no idea where you want to go.
And the only way to learn about your business is to talk!
You may only need one or two projects to be completed.
If so, take a look at what we can do for you.
If you need several projects completed, then it's probably best (and most cost-effective) that we talk about a 'retainer' option. We ask that you give us a minimum three months. But since we'll be teaching you how to manage your marketing along the way, you may not need us after the three months are up.
And that's just fine with us.
2. We'll develop a plan.
We come up with a marketing strategy that will get you from where you are to where you want to go.
Oh, and by the way, we don't have a set 'price' for our services. Your business is completely unique. What you likely need will be unique too.
And we won't move forward until we all agree that our rates are fair and affordable.
3. Your Brand
If you know what separates your business from your competitors, great!
If not, we'll work to develop your brand and your message.
After all, your brand needs to be known, be consistent, and speak to your target audience.
And if you don't have a logo, or a consistent business graphic and color scheme, we'll develop these elements for you.
4. Your website
Do you have a website?
If so, do you like it?
Is it aesthetically pleasing?
Are people coming to your site?
Can you add text or pictures to your site without having to contact someone else?
Do you own your domain name?
We want you to have control of your marketing - and that means you need to have control of your website.
If your website is effectively promoting your business and getting the engagement you need - great! If you know how to make changes with little or no effort - even better!
But if you don't have a website, we'll build it for you utilizing an easy-to-use, appropriate platform.
We'll work with you to create compelling content (including the text). We'll ensure that your website is optimized for search engines. AND we'll make sure that you understand how to make changes to your new site.
5. Social Media
We'll take a look at what you're currently doing (or what you'd like to be doing) and see if there's a way to improve your messaging.
We will develop a messaging calendar for you. Don't have the time or desire to post? That's okay! We'll do it for you!
6. Paid Marketing
We always say that there's only one way to attract new customers - you have to use capital.
That capital can come in one (or both) of two forms:
• Your time
• Your money
If you don't have enough time, you'll likely need to spend some money to grab some new clients. And we can help with that.
We'll analyze your budget, determine a strategy - pay-per-click, paid social or Internet media, traditional media (direct mail, TV, radio, print, roadside billboards).
We will make sure that you have a way (and know how) to track each paid marketing strategy so that you can maximize your returns.
7. Marketing Materials
A good-looking business card, a beautiful brochure or a logoed promotional piece can make an impactful first impression or a meaningful lasting impression.
We can design everything you might need (and even help you find the best/cheapest places to print and purchase these marketing materials).
8. Networking / Partnerships
Whether or not you've budgeted for paid marketing, it's ALWAYS a good idea to get to know like-minded business people.
We will take a look at where your business stands (and where you want it to go) and give you direction on where to go to meet people that can assist your business. We'll also use our connections to introduce you to people that can help your business thrive!
One last thing to remember about our process:
We can't do it without you.
We're going to put in the time and effort to make your business the best that it can be.
But we're going to need your input. We'll have a lot of questions for you as we move through the process.
We ask that you give us a couple hours a week to talk about our progress. Those discussions might be in-person, on the phone, via e-mail or through a video conference call.
We're going to be committed to your success. So, we'll be teaching you successful marketing tactics along the way.
We've helped a lot of organizations take control of their marketing. But we can't do it without you.
